United Way of the Golden Triangle Region Opens Annual Funding Application Process This July

The United Way of the Golden Triangle Region (UWGTR) is preparing to launch its annual funding application process this July, continuing its commitment to supporting impactful, community-focused nonprofit organizations across the region.

Renee S. Sanders

Mrs. Yolanda Renee Sims Sanders began her tenure at United Way of the Golden Triangle Region in June 2015 as the Volunteer Director, leading Volunteer Columbus, an internal program of United Way. She later transitioned to her current role as Executive Director in 2019.

Before her tenure at United Way, Renee dedicated 18 years to East Mississippi Community College/Columbus Air Force Base, where she worked in student support services.

Christian Bradley

Mr. Bradley is no stranger to service. As a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., he has participated in a number of service projects with various programs under the United Way umbrella. Mr. Bradley previously served our community as a teacher at Sale Elementary School and Columbus Middle School. He is excited to continue his service in this new capacity.

Angela Williams

Angela Denise Williams has proudly called Lowndes County home since 1996. With a heartfelt dedication to serving others, particularly senior citizens, she embodies the spirit of community. Angela finds joy in lending her culinary skills to the local Soup Kitchen and eagerly participates in our annual Christmas Adopt-A-Family program, where her enthusiasm for wrapping gifts shines brightly.  Angela also spearheads our Pets Eat Too (PET) program, catering to the needs of the vulnerable population who require assistance with pet food.

Michelle Sobley Livingston

As a native of Columbus, MS, Michelle Sobley Livingston has continually served her community as a dedicated young professional. Currently, Michelle is a local Realtor with Crye-Leike Properties Unlimited, where she serves as a trusted advisor to her clients in their real estate transactions. Prior to taking on the real estate profession, Michelle gained her Bachelor’s degree from the Mississippi University for Women in business administration with a concentration in management, and a minor in health care management.

Hays Burchfield

 

Hays Burchfield of Eupora, MS graduated from Eupora High School in 2000, and then from the University of Mississippi with a B. A. and J. D. Hays opened his general practice law firm in Eupora where he has been practicing law since 2010 and lives with his husband Josh Whitlock. Hays believes in community service and is a past president of the Eupora Rotary Club, secretary of the Eupora Lions Club, and co-treasurer of the Eupora High School Alumni Association. Hays is also a past president and current board member of the LGBTQIA+ Chapter of the Ole Miss Alumni Association.
