United Way of the Golden Triangle Region Opens Annual Funding Application Process This July
The United Way of the Golden Triangle Region (UWGTR) is preparing to launch its annual funding application process this July, continuing its commitment to supporting impactful, community-focused nonprofit organizations across the region.
Each year, all partner agencies must reapply for funding consideration. To be eligible, applicants must be designated 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and must either serve or be physically located in one of UWGTR’s seven-county service area: Clay, Lowndes, Noxubee, Oktibbeha, Webster, Choctaw, and Winston Counties.
Funded programs must align with one or more of United Way’s four key impact areas: Health, Education, Financial Stability, and Disaster Services. These areas reflect the organization's mission to improve lives and strengthen communities throughout the Golden Triangle Region.
The online application will go live in July (exact date to be announced). Completed applications must be submitted by midnight on the last Friday in September. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
All submissions undergo a thorough review process conducted by community volunteers and United Way leadership. Agencies approved for funding will be notified within the first quarter of the following year, with allocations beginning shortly thereafter.
Interested organizations are encouraged to contact the UWGTR office for guidance on eligibility, documentation requirements, and evaluation criteria.
“Our funding application process ensures that we are investing in programs that create measurable change and truly serve the needs of our communities,” said Renee Sanders, Executive Director of United Way of the Golden Triangle Region. “We look forward to partnering with agencies that share our vision of building a healthier, stronger region.”
