DEBRA TAYLOR
Public Housing & Human Services Executive | Community Leader
Debra Taylor is an experienced public housing and human services professional with more than 25 years of leadership and program experience. Her career includes 8 years as a Public Housing Executive Director, 2 years as Deputy Director, and 15 years as a Social Service Coordinator.
Throughout her career, Debra has provided leadership in public housing administration, resident services, program development, community engagement, and organizational operations. She has extensive experience working with HUD, government agencies, nonprofit organizations, human service providers, civic organizations, businesses, residents, and community leaders.
Debra is recognized for her ability to build relationships, connect organizations and resources, solve problems, and bring stakeholders together to address community needs. Her experience at the housing authority provided her with a broad understanding of the connection between affordable housing, human services, economic opportunity, and community development.
Debra is an active member of The Links Incorporated, Housing Consulting Management Analyst for The Nelrod Company and also currently serves as a United Way board member and Allocation Committee member, helping evaluate and allocate community resources to organizations serving local residents.
